I’ve just given my agent a collection of cat poems for a possible picture book. Because of the new framework of the revised collection, this poem was cut. Thought I might as well put it somewhere, so here it is:
This poem was inspired by our tabby who emitted a scream worthy of a sample in the most terrifying film ever. (I don’t know what that would be as I don’t watch scary movies. Insert your own choice here.) Who would have thought such a sweet face could produce such an unholy sound?
