Serendipity & Me teaser

My first novel, Serendipity & Me, will be released in 21 days. The picture/poem below is a taste of what might have been.

I was surprised by the amount of revising  needed for this novel. I think the book grew 100 pages between the time it was purchased and the time it was printed. I guess this shows that my weakness isn’t wordiness. But there were still some things cut. For instance, the following poem was added and then replaced by another poem. As it has been cut, you will not find this in the book. This poem was one of the poems supposedly written by the main character’s mother. In actuality, the sonnet was written by me many years ago about my childhood cat’s response to my new husband. I don’t remember the exact year, but since we’ve been married for 32 years, it must have been a long, long time ago.

The painting is one I did from a photograph of my kids’ childhood cat. Princess is now 18 years old. Funny how time marches on…even faster for cats.
